Metaplay SDK Release 35 – faster startup and LiveOps timeline updates

Metaplay SDK Release 35 shipped on November 27, 2025. The release focuses on faster client startup and game config loading, alongside a significantly upgraded LiveOps Dashboard timeline.

LiveOps Dashboard timeline adds experiments, broadcasts, and zoom

The LiveOps Dashboard timeline now shows Experiments and Broadcasts alongside other live events, giving a full overview of live operations in one place. The timeline is now zoomable, moving smoothly between a big-picture view and a single day, and events scheduled in player-local time show a ghosted outline covering every time zone players could be in.

Visual styling, UX, and performance have all been improved.

Metaplay SDK initialization performance improves further

Release 35 completes the move from reflection to Roslyn source generators for SDK registry initialization, eliminating the remaining reflection-based type scanning during MetaplaySDK.InitializeForClient().

This further reduces the time between starting the application and being able to play.

Game config loading gets up to 50% faster

Micro-optimizations to game config loading and intra-config dependency resolution cut CPU cost, delivering up to 50% faster overall game config load times in Metaplay's benchmarks on lower-end devices.

The work simplifies generic types in the game config system, which also speeds up application initialization beyond config loading alone.

Full Release 35 notes cover every change and the migration guide.
